AOI/TfL River Thames Competition

Wednesday, 30 March 2011

All those acronyms in the title make it look like I might've just called you all something bad in text speak. Roflcoptor.

Been in a minor funk recently, but a naughty quickie behind the sheds has me fired up to sizzlin' again, though I wish it had been a more drawn out romance since I did most the art in a single stressful day. C'est la vie. Men. SERCO. Pfft! Who needs them? Apart from all of us as SERCO are entertainingly 'the biggest company you've never heard of'. Super neat.

ANYWAY, contest to promote the River Thames & encourage people to nose around it a wee bit because it's awesome if you ignore the gulls. I'd looove to hear any feedback anyone might have; Easter holidays means working sans feedback, which is okay but I do have a penchant for feedback, otherwise all I can hear is my tinitus & a dehumidifier, & that's just depressing.

Word to all Mother's!

Heady Spaghettis

Tuesday, 29 March 2011

HELLO humans. I am alive! Just super busy preparing for my last term as an undergrad & our looming visit to New York, by making dummy books that look like a kid made them with bubblegum & worrying, fretting, panicking & nail-biting. My spaghetti brain is incapable of keeping blog posts up to date properly, so COMMENCE THE IMAGE DUMP.

The only 'finished' pieces today are these poster designs from donkeys ago. The rest are sketches...

...believe it or not this is meant to be a VW GTI MARK 1!

...AND natch a ballerina, with ballerina mice sprinkled on top. Natch.

IF: Warning

Friday, 11 March 2011

I love spicy food, but for some reason lots of people don't agree? So I guess this could act as a warning for some, an incentive for others ;P

IF: Swarm

Friday, 4 March 2011

What it's a swarm of is a bit subjective...

To me, they're ghosts.

Projects are swarming around me, at the moment; I always had the worst case of eyes-too-big-for-my-belly-itis. Illustration Friday didn't take me long this week for that very reason, too much else going on! This piece has helped me work some knots out of the visuals for a third picture book I'm researching, though.
See? Waste not, want not. -xxx-
